The Apprentices of Photo Journaling, an After School Matters program, set out to find a profile shot of themselves while we had some nice weather yesterday here in Chicago. The goal was to work in groups, using the theory of macro medium and wide. First finding their composition via a written proposal, then taking the camera out and finding the ideal location around Taft High School & Norwood Park. The person in the shot directed the photographer on what their vision was, then photographed them at multiple angles showing them the progress as they went. The photographed gave the final ok before heading back to the classroom to edit the photos in Photoshop, adding and manipulating text to compliment the photograph. After group critique, Apprentices went out to re-shoot or re-edit if needed to upload the files to their blogs. The photos below are the first run.
